ASCF FILM CLUB and TKA studio announce an even more creative collaboration - an on-set, 16 mm/35 mm weekend film intensive that includes a Friday night Master acting class as well as an INDIE SHORT FILM SET EXPERIENCE with a writer/director. Actors will work on a real set with a real crew and receive an MPEG-4 copy of their professional FILM footage after it has been edited (1 - 2 weeks after weekend intensive). Acting sessions are taught by Acting Coach Tess Kirsch and the set is directed by writer/directors who will be with us throughout the weekend and will be writing specifically for you as you work your craft on Friday evening. How does it work?
Once you enroll, you will send your actors access link to me so that I can share it with our writers. We will then meet as a group on Friday night and I will take you through a series of acting exercises in our Master class. The writers will be watching and will write a scene for you that evening, with any requests you might have. All will go home Friday evening with their scene to break down and get off book.
On Saturday, all actors will rehearse their scenes with their writer as well as Tess. You will then shoot this scene in 16 mm/35 mm with your writer/director, Thom Kuo and Jessi Spickard. The shoot will be run as if you are truly on set and are working with a crew/cast.
***Film will then be edited and you will receive an MPEG-4 file (or ProRes file if preferred).
